Welcome to the Velveeta Guestbook v2.0!
4. Now I lay me down to sleep...I think it is the deep voice that is sexy!!!
United States - May 29, 2001 at 8:38 PM EDT
Sounds like another topic for a top 10 list. But since I have writer's bloc, hopefully other readers of the guestbook could help me finish the list.
Top Ten Reasons why Brent gets "all the attention" (as referenced by #86):
10. "It's the hair, chicks dig the hair!"
9. That hand held keyboard that he sometimes uses brings the ladies in droves!
8. Two words -- WILD THING!
7. Five more words -- WHERE DO WE GO NOW!
6. Do I have to remind everyone of the aforementioned mohawk?
5. 80's chicks often confuse him with the actor who played Blossom's dad (also a keyboardist!!!!!!!)
Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, United States - May 29, 2001 at 4:47 PM EDT
What I want to know is why is Brent the one who always gets all the attention ???? The rest of the band is a bunch of cuties as well !brownees frequenter
United States - May 29, 2001 at 4:27 PM EDT
Brent...but you are the only one who counts...talent AND looks...
Philly, United States - May 29, 2001 at 3:35 PM EDT
There are more than three keyboardists outside of PSU though....
United States - May 29, 2001 at 1:52 PM EDT
I didn't know there are even three keyboardist in this town......sigh
United States - May 29, 2001 at 9:58 AM EDT
Well I donít feel so bad knowing I only fit two lines on the Velveeta crazed obsessed fan list. Yet my heart is broken to know Brent flirts with everyone. (Sigh) Maybe Iíll go find some other not nearly as special keyboardist and try to make Brent jealous. Then I will fit three on the list! (sigh again) Darn! He's jsut to cute to give up on.
United States - May 28, 2001 at 6:09 PM EDT
Bones, when are you going to pee in the beer bottle again?? =P
Philly, Pennsylvania, United States - May 27, 2001 at 8:56 PM EDT
I have to agree with the last comment.Every time I hear a 80's song I say that.I'm so used to Velveeta that the originals don't sound right.Have a good day.
Archbald, Pennsylvania, United States - May 26, 2001 at 10:39 PM EDT
Yes, Master Much, it's the very same Jess and Lauren. And I have yet another to add to the list-- You've begun to refer to 80s songs covered by the band as "Velveeta songs" and when you hear them on the radio by the original artist, they just don't sound right!! And by the way- I do actually have one of Bones' drumsticks myself!
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States - May 26, 2001 at 5:15 PM EDT
I must say that is an awesome list 'Brownies Frequenter'. I think about seven of them apply to me. I too must be a Velveeta stalker. I have pictures of all Velveeta members hanging above my fireplace. That is not exactly true, I don't really have a fireplace. What's up Jess and Lauren (Entry #77)? Been to McD's lately since our adventure? Hope this is the same Jess and Lauren I think it is. Anyway, take care Velveeta, fans, and fellow fanatics!
Behold the power of cheese.
Here is another couple for the list...
11. Wake up the next morning wondering why you have one of Bones' broken drumsticks.
12. Watch America's Most Wanted waiting for the FBI to track down the punk that stole Kriley's 'Mean People Kick Ass' guitar.
Chicago, Illinois, United States - May 26, 2001 at 12:39 AM EDT
Well, if you have to go by that list, I guess we are stalkers, although this is the first time we've ever written in the guestbook. We are together (which doesn't happen too often anymore) trying to plan our next Velveeta trip- it's hard, but we are hoping to be out for arts fest. We miss you guys!!

In response to some recent postings, I offer everyone this:
Top 10 Indications that you may be Stalking Velveeta!
10. You miss Brent's mohawk!
9. You know all the band members' girlfriends/wives names!
8. You take your friends, sinificant others and parents to see them play on your graduation day.
7. You harass them every time you see them about when the Live Album is coming out.
6. You know what color the van is that they travel in.
5. You know that No Zippy = No Rebel Yell!
4. You've heard total strangers refer to Brian as "Mankind" thousands of times!
3. You party with other bands' keyboardists hoping to make Brent jealous.
2. You get "annoyed" when others claim to be a bigger Velveeta fan than you.
1. You defend other stalkers!
Forgive me if this kind of list has been done before -- I'm new here. Love the band, though......
Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, United States - May 22, 2001 at 1:36 PM EDT
I just finished reading the latest messages in the guestbook and I noticed your little jab at Sonia. Now, I admit that I have noticed she writes in quite a bit too, but that's just because she's a big fan, which I'm sure you are too. Velveeta can have a strange strangle-hold affect on people (I speak from personal experience)And if Sonia wants to show her enthusaism by writing in the guestbook then so be it. I'm sure the band appreciates the support.
Bottom line... RESPECT ALL CHEESE FANS !!!!!!!
Baltimore, Maryland, United States - May 22, 2001 at 12:34 PM EDT
Hey there guys,
Waiting for response from someone out there.
Still miss you crazy guys, write back soon.
Archbald, Pennsylvania, United States - May 17, 2001 at 8:59 PM EDT
That was so bad to say about me; I do have better things to do, and no I am not stalking anyone of them in the guestbook. I am just saying nice things that is all, and people do get the wrong impression of me.
You just ruined my day, annoyed.
I want to know who you are, let's settle this one.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - May 17, 2001 at 10:54 AM EDT
Is this Sonia Kail girl for real? Doesn't she have anything better to do than stalk you guys in your guestbook. I like to anonymously pick on people in guestbooks because I have an inferiority complex over my rather small sexual anatomy.
United States - May 16, 2001 at 1:38 PM EDT
"I love you guys with all my heart! You made my graduation night one of the best in my life! Thanks again especially to Brent for saying my name THREE times that night. It made my heart swoon. I will always remember the evening was perfect in every way, even if I didn't get to see you again that night. I'll see all of you when I'm at Penn State this fall for Graduate school."
State College, Pennsylvania, United States - May 15, 2001 at 10:49 PM EDT
Hey guys - thanks for all of the Cafe memories. You made my graduation night at the crow bar the best! My family and friends were with me and had a blast - we were so glad that we decided to go there. Thanks and can't wait to see the pics!

pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - May 6, 2001 at 7:12 PM EDT
Just sticking up for you. You are not a flirt, being in a band, you are supposed to be nice to everyone, that is part of your job!
I have two requests for tomorrow night, May 4th, "Jenny/867-5309," and "Jessie's Girl." That would just make my night.
Well, see you guys at the Saloon.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - May 3, 2001 at 11:29 AM EDT
state college, United States - May 2, 2001 at 6:58 PM EDT
Hey, nice picture of me on the site! (hello, take that off)!. Did the keys man who flirted with me that night have anything to do with it. What a payback! (Jan 13, 2001). Moved to Pittsburgh. Have not had a chance to see you lately. Message board looks like things are better then ever. Later.
pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - April 29, 2001 at 11:30 PM EDT
You guys are just so awesome! I just had to say that.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - April 28, 2001 at 1:21 PM EDT
I really enjoyed the show at the Saloon on Friday; it was so great. I want to thank you guys for letting me sing and dance on stage with you guys once again. I had a great time, also, thank you for playing "Jessie's Girl" for me.
I am looking forward to more good times in the future.
Also, here is my new webpage address so I would be very happy whenever you guys put it within your friends link. It is: www.geocities.com/giantssc18/SoniaJ.html.
You guys will always be my favorite band.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - April 23, 2001 at 10:33 AM EDT

It was great!
United States - April 21, 2001 at 5:47 PM EDT
I just love signing guestbooks! Sorry, in my last message, I forgot to add John's name with the rest! John you keep rockin too!
I have a two requests for the show at the Saloon tomorrow night, April 20th, and I would be happy if you guys sing those songs for me; they are "Jenny/867-5309," and "Jessie's Girl." They are my two favorite '80s songs.
See you all at the Saloon!!!!!
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - April 19, 2001 at 11:40 AM EDT
Hi! My name is Steve and I am a Velveeta-holic. OK, that's the first step in my program and its out of the way. Forget a full recovery, though -- more cheese, please! Thanks for another solid show at Nick's Fat City. Every time we try to bring a Velveeta virgin and every time they come away happy. Look foward to hearing you again soon in State College.
State College, Pennsylvania, United States - April 18, 2001 at 2:17 PM EDT
I want to thank you guys for letting me sing "Jenny/867-5309" with you at Nick's Fat City on Saturday April 14th. That was so nice of you guys to do that for me. To tell you the truth, I have never sang lead for that song before, and I am sorry that I did not sing that dime verse at the end of the song because I had thought that you guys would sing lots of the song too. You have to admit though that I do know the song quite well.
When I come back to school in August, I will go to every single show of yours which I should have done when I was in State College. I was so into this other band, and now I know that you guys are so much better, and have so much talent. I am very impressed with Velveeta, and I hope that you guys will be around for a long time.
I will be in State College this weekend, and on Friday, I will definitely come and see you guys play at the Saloon!!!!!
Hey, can I take a picture with all of you at the Saloon on Friday!!!!! I would love to see a picture of me within your photo gallery, and I would be very happy to be in a picture with all of you.
Brent, Bones, Brian and Mike, keep rockin, and you guys will always be my favorite band of all time.
Thanks once again for letting me sing with you guys this past weekend.
The show was awesome at Nick's by the way, and I am looking forward to more great shows at Nick's this upcoming summer.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - April 17, 2001 at 2:39 PM EDT

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - March 27, 2001 at 1:19 AM EST
I just wanted to thank you guys for making my friend's bachelorette party so much fun. We had a great time (from what we remember). I hope you guys can make it down to DC some time soon. We could use some quality entertainment!
See ya at 4D's!
DC, United States - March 26, 2001 at 2:16 PM EST
I cannot wait until you guys come back to Nick's Fat City in April. I really enjoyed the last two shows of yours at Nick's. I just love it when a State College Band is able to come to Nick's. It brings back so many good memories of my times in State College.
Now, since I am a huge fan, I think that you guys are so much better than the Giants of Science, do not tell them that I said that one.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - March 26, 2001 at 12:56 PM EST
Hey guys! Can't thank you enough for the memories. I will remember my bachelorette party forever (well, most of it)thanks in part to you. My best friends from high school and I love to get together and watch you play at
4-D's when we all make the trip back home. Keep coming!!!
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - March 26, 2001 at 11:37 AM EST
What's up, guys...If it hadn't been said before, thanks so much for the memories. I split the scene quickly, and without enough time to wish everyone well. I'm working a music job in NYC, but when I close my eyes, I see the (old school) stage at the Brewery on one of those rediculous customer appreciation nights...so drunk that my hands are numb...rocking "Mustang Sally" with a cast of thousands. That shit was cool...Be in touch. I'd love to hear what's going on.
Velveeta- Best cover band ever.
NYC, New York, United States - March 22, 2001 at 6:51 PM EST
Hey you guys rock!!! Thanks for letting 2 of us sing on stage with you guys. We will remember it forever. However, we are disappointed that we did not make the picture section of your web page. What's up with that?
But we still love you!! See you on Thur nights!!

In defense of Brent and his alleged hippie-ness, we hear that rumor flying around quite a bit too. And when we first met, we thought, oh yeah, somebody's been smoking something. But then we realized, nope, that's just the way he is. Is it the golf? Maybe that pink van has something to do with it....
We love the cheese! See you guys on Thursdays!

United States - March 12, 2001 at 1:26 PM EST
Well, I gotta tell you guys you pulled out all the stops this time around. It was an excellent show, and you played so much stuff I haven't heard you do before. Good thing you got that huge songlist. Anyway, thanks for the Ozzy again, and thanks for the great time as always. Oh, and my little sister had her baby at 3:04 AM, 7lbs 3oz, yep, march 11th, Little Velvetta Cheese, well actually Allen Michael was born. I got the call as soon as I walked through the door. Well, I gotta run so I will talk to you guys later. Take care and we'll see you all again soon. But not until June, because I'm going to New Orleans in April. Oh, yeah!
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - March 11, 2001 at 8:00 PM EST
You guys totally rocked Nick's Saturday night on March 10th! Blue Suede Groove also had a great performance especially when they joined you for "Purple Rain"..got to love Prince. I look forward to seeing you again in April. John, I know you said you don't check email too often but thanks for the idea for the bachelorette party. Sorry you guys won't be at Nick's for that night...hint..hint it's April 21st but I think you guys are coming April 13th instead.
P.S. Thanks for playing "867-5309, Jenny" ...my favorite. :)

state college, Pennsylvania, United States - March 9, 2001 at 11:37 AM EST
Yes Blue Suede Groove is playing at Nick's this Saturday opening for the Cheese! If anyone has a question as to who in the hell we are, go to http://www.mp3.com/bluesuedegroove to hear what we sound like. Listen to "she", "Silent Stars", and "make believe", as they are what we sound like currently. Velveeta Rules! No we don't play "Jam" music that you throw spaghetti at. And Brent is not a hippie!!!! His brain is just a little off from too much sun while playing too much golf. Again..........Velveeta Rules!!
United States - March 8, 2001 at 4:15 PM EST
Is it true you guys are having BSG open at Nicks? I heard brent wanted to play a Grateful Dead song with them, but they yelled "We don't play that anymore you hippy!" Then Brent was sad. Is this true? Is Brent really a secret Hippy?
United States - March 6, 2001 at 6:34 PM EST
Hi guys! My friends and I had the opportunity to see you and GE&Spam together for the past two weekends down in Philly and I just wanted to let you know that both shows were excellent! Years ago, when I was at PSU, we followed you religiously and seeing you again, along with my other favorite band (Brad and Brian are the best!), brought back a ton of great memories--or at least some hazy recollections! I hope that you guys can get together more often and/or start playing in the Harrisburg area. I know that you'd draw a huge crowd here. Hope to see you soon! And thank you again for the tickets to Brownies Plymouth--it was well worth the drive.
Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States - March 6, 2001 at 2:32 PM EST
Heu guys. I met Brent Online about 5 years ago when he was with QWK Rock, and I was with The Hawk (I do the Morning Show there now), and we actually had the opportunity to meet in person at a PSU Game. I was wondering if there was any way to contact him, I'd really like to see how he's doing. Brent, if you read this, e mail me!
Binghamton, New York, United States - March 4, 2001 at 7:20 PM EST

Hi, everybody. I don't have much to say right now
about Velveeta, but boy, are they still good. I'm still
recovering from New Years'. MMMMmmmm watery.
Cure your thirst right up (yes it will). You should play
more alice and chains because, along with the
backstreet boys, n'sync, and velfeeta, they're also a
great boy band. Ow! That's it.

You know that Christmas commercial where the little girl gets a ton of gifts and the father says "wow, he must have really liked the cookies," and the little girl says, "I didn't leave him cookies, I left him CHEESE?"
Did the little girl leave him a block of cheese or perhaps two passes to Crowbar, etc. to see Velveeta in action?????
United States - December 2, 2000 at 5:20 PM EST
Hey, just wanted to say I think you guys rock and my friends and I always try to come and see you when we can. The shows may get a little crazy, but that's what keeps it interesting!

Hello everyone! After hearing Velveeta's old guestbook went to hell, I couldn't resist the opportunity to get this thing working again for Dudeman (a.k.a. John Matthews). I hope you all continue to sign the guestbook...it is a great thing...many drunken memories to share with the world. If there are any problems with the guestbook, email John Matthews or me and we will try to get things fixed. By the way, if you go to my website, the weather info will be out of date (I am a meteorologist...hence the email address)...sorry about that, turns out that my web host didn't appreciate me running all those programs to update the information. Oh yeah, if you are wondering, John is making every effort to recover the old guestbook entries so we can add them to this one...we'll see how that goes. Anyway, I wish the cheese and their faithful cheeseheads the best of luck. I wish I was there...this whole working thing sucks. Stay in college forever!
